The “pano de roda” circus, very common in the Brazilian countryside, is conceived as a transient architecture built from reused elements and structures, revealing the material contrast between fantasy and survival. Colors, textures, and patterns are used exuberantly in order to highlight the Romani circus universe. The circus emerges as a space lived with vitality and joy, shaped by labor, friendship, and resilience.
Circus of Dreams
Production design for the feature film Circus of Dreams, by Breno Ferreira and Nival Correa (2025, in post-production). Amid challenges and a painful past, Joaquim returns to his family’s home, where hope seems to have faded away. But the unexpected arrival of Héctor and his family may hold the key to rekindling the magic and transforming their lives. New bonds are forged, proving that sometimes the greatest adventure is finding your own place.
